Privacy
DuaForDua works with as little data as possible. To share a dua, we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and there are no accounts.
What we do not collect
When you share a dua, we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. We use no advertising, tracking or analytics tools. Please do not write personal details such as names, phone numbers or addresses in your dua either.
The dua you share
We store the text of your dua, its detected language, the time it was shared, a random ID number kept in your browser (so you can see your own duas) and a code generated from your IP address. Once published, your dua is shown to everyone without a name.
Ameen and reports
When you say Ameen to a dua or report one, either your ID number or the code generated from your IP address is recorded, so the same person is not counted twice. Your name or account does not appear in these records.
Cookies
We use only two essential cookies: one remembers your chosen language (1 year) and one keeps your ID number in your browser (2 years). They are needed for the site to work. If you delete your cookies, you lose access to your own duas.
IP address
We do not store your IP address (your address on the internet) as it is. Instead we store a code generated from it that looks meaningless. We use this code only to limit abuse, for example one person posting many duas or reporting repeatedly. Our hosting provider may keep IP addresses briefly in technical logs for operation and security.
Feedback form
If you send a bug report or a suggestion, we store your message, the topic you chose, the time it was sent, and a code generated from your IP address (to prevent excessive messages). Writing your email address is optional; we use it only to reply to you. Only the site administrators read your message, and it is kept until it is deleted. If you want your message deleted, write to the address at the bottom of this page.
Review of duas
Every dua is reviewed by an administrator before it is published. We do not publish duas found inappropriate. Duas reported by several people are hidden automatically and reviewed again.
Service providers
The site runs on Render and data is stored in Supabase. These companies process data on our behalf. Their servers may be located in other countries.
Retention and deletion
Your dua and the Ameen and report records linked to it are kept until you or an administrator deletes it. You can delete your dua at any time from the “My duas” page; the records linked to it are deleted too. If you cleared your cookies and want a dua deleted, write to the address at the bottom of this page.
